Kindergarten will be discovering how to sing, dance and read music.
|
First grade will continue to sing and start to learn how to read music on the treble clef staff.
|
Second grade will continue to read music on the treble clef staff and start to learn how to write their own music.
|
Rocks Rules
In the elementary music class, we use the ROCKS Rules. We expect these rules to be followed.
R- Respect yourself, others and school supplies.
O- Obey the directions the first time.
C- Come prepared to learn about Music!
K- Keep your voice low and talk with permission.
S- Stay in your assign area.
If a student does not follow the ROCKS Rules they will go through the Strike System. Three strikes and your out.
Strike 1: Students name on board, warning.
Strike 2: Check beside name on board and time out in music room, the student will fill out a Think Sheet (show below).
Strike 3: Office Referral.
If your child is in Time out or in the office, he/she is not participating in music therefore it will reflect in their grade.
